Miles and miles,
we drove.
We had packed our car,
we were gone.
Days and days,
we talked.
We discussed our Future,
we were free.
Hours and hours
we sat in silence.
We had argued,
we would heal.
Weeks and weeks,
we finally stopped.
A small town,
called winter.
Years and years,
Kept Enslaved.
We found Solace,
In the snow.
Hours and hours,
we walked.
He lost his footing,
my hand slipped.
Miles and miles,
Ice and snow.
Our wedding night
would be without a groom.
A sign on a tree,
reads:
“Here lies Sommer,
Lost in winter.”
Oh my God. I’m now imagining Sommer taking a rebirth and coming back to complete his journey with her.

I liked the way you used “Days and days,” “Hours and hours,” “Miles and miles,” etc. It reminded me of the rhythm of life, and the loss at the end, reminded me of the fragility of life. Very nicely done!
